Carbon neutrality with glass

Last week glasstec UPDATE found place. This new conference format focused on climate neutrality and decarbonization. Topics that represent an enormous challenge, but also give the opportunity for structural change and new ways of thinking. The glasstec UPDATE conference brought together experts from industry and science to discuss these topics.

Jaap Wiedenhoff, co-founder and business leader of Quake, was one of the speakers. He shows that fear of the unpredictable has led us to increasingly separate ourselves from our social and natural environment. This is about to change! Different thinking gives different outcomes. If we use glass to connect and not to protect, we can do it. New technology will be needed to enable this. But new technology shouldn’t drive this. We should!”To achieve this Quake is inviting innovators and creative thinkers to collaborate exploring how we can reshape and rethink our relation with our built and our natural environment in the 21st century. Which assumptions do we need to challenge, what technology do we need for a healthier, inclusive and sustainable living environment.
