Xlink – Empowering Future Buildings: Integrating real-time data, enhancing decision making. Unlocking the Pathway to predictive performance

Xlink improves communication and knowledge sharing between experts and elicits relevant information from buildings for optimal decision-making; A data-driven service that uses an innovative way to describe the data of interaction within the building it operates on, the management storage and sharing of the data. It creates a digital representation of the building organised in a modular ontology: a collection of data schemas that describe concepts and relations that occur in data generated to model buildings and building systems.

Optimising the processes and building performance is crucial for building owners, tenants, and consultants in the built environment. Gathering up-to-date data from buildings and their activities is beneficial in defining assumptions, testing hypotheses, and giving valuable insights to clients for optimal decision-making. Interactive Smart systems in buildings are becoming more ubiquitous as technological advancements in IoT (Internet of Things) improve, and physical devices can produce increased data over time. Although, gaining insight into suitable performance indicators is not always easy or self-explaining. How can we efficiently leverage the correct data in a distributed manner?

Xlink enables seamless integration and analysis of diverse information streams (e.g., real-time sensor and BMS data) on a significant scale, relieving concerns about specific implementation details and formats unique to each building, system or component.

Organise heterogeneous data in Digital Twins.
Data is organised in an extensible ontology that can include any additional data source related to the building system at any time.
Allows analysing reliable and heterogenous data about a building or building system. Building managers obtain a consistent overview of operations.
Xlink tries to create a dialogue that flows freely between strategic and operational domains during the building’s lifecycle: Business administrationTechnical representations  of the Building (BIM)Control and operations of the Building (BMS)IoT technologies
